US Soccer has mandated a change from the current August 1 – July 31 birth date period to January 1- December 31 Birth Year. HRSA has worked very hard to make this transition the best possible outcome for every player in HRSA. What does that mean for our recreational teams?
With the new league alignment, parents, coaches and teams will have a choice to make. If teams wish to remain together, they will play in the league that includes the OLDEST players’ birth years on the team. For example a current U7 team (2010 birth year) may have players that were born in either 2010, 2009 or 2008. If they were to remain together as a team, they would play in the U9 (2008 birth year). Should you have any further questions please contact your birth year registrar.
If your player is younger than the U5 Age Group, they are eligible for our special U4 HaTTrix Program.
